MUDVILLE MUSIC ROOM CONCERT CALENDAR

2020

FEB. 7 - ROD PICOTT - 7:30 pm - $15
Rod Picott is a singer-songwriter whose music incorporates elements of Americana, alternative country, and folk. He released his first album in 2001. As of 2017, he has released 11 albums.
Rod grew up in Maine where he played in various local bands. Picott met Slaid Cleaves on his first day of second grade and the two became lifelong friends and even wrote several songs together. After a period living in Boulder, Colorado, where he busked and studied the art of songwriting Picott moved to Nashville in 1994, where he spent a number of years playing local clubs. He began to make a name for himself as a songwriter, which grew when he co-wrote a song on Fred Eaglesmith's album 50 Odd Dollars.
Picott finally released his own debut album in 2001. Tiger Tom Dixon's Blues was named after his great-uncle, a boxer during the Great Depression,  and featured his version of "Broke Down", a song he co-wrote with long-time friend Slaid Cleaves.

FEB. 8 - SIDELINE - 7 pm - $20
Sideline is a pedigreed six-piece powerhouse whose style has set the pace in Bluegrass for over two decades. Founders Steve Dilling (banjo), guitarist Skip Cherryholmes and Jason Moore (bass) can all claim their own historical significance to the genre as members of highly awarded groups, multiple Grand Ole Opry appearances and years of national and international touring. What started as a side project for the seasoned players soon moved to the front and center and they began to record and release albums in earnest.
